LOAF-ly

It feels like I have been doing lots of boring odd jobs lately. So nothing fun to blog about!

HOWEVER

Last week I completed my submission for Load Magazine.
Loaf Magazine is a project baked up by two lovely ladies, Rosie and Becky.
It will be a magazine/comic for children aged 9-12 and will independently bring together and promote artists and creatives.

Please take a look at their people fund it page HERE

I have also been collecting random objects and visiting the zoo (for essential giraffe research)

AND lastly I took part in the 'Art of Bookselling' exhibition at Foyles, Charing Cross Road.
This was an exhibition to display the many talents of the Foyles staff (me being one of them)
Take a look at some of the photos HERE

I might treat you to something with pictures in later...

Mo and Morris

Soon to be starring in their own story. (just need to think up the ending)

Bear in a boat

Today's is inspired by the Bristol Harbour festival...
(yesterdays is a working progress as I got distracted by the beach)

Pattern

And todays! Just a little pattern (as I have to go to work this afternoon)

Tree House

This is the beginning of my challenge of an illustration a day for the next 5 days
(this is mondays)

In between I shall be enjoying the glorious sun and making more rainbow cakes
(maybe)

Some new faces

I have been working on some new characters to keep me painting.
Lately I have been working on little bits and pieces, card designs, ideas and a new poster for Foyles ready for the Harbour festival in a few weeks.

In other news I have been hunting for fairies and walking through the woods.

It's MAY!

Over the last few weeks I have been working on some exciting things with Joseph Roberts and Miff Weaver for Mayfest. Find out more about them HERE.

First we made a wall...

(Yes. The website is wrong. But it is right now)

And then we made some GIANT letters and hung them in the Tobacco Factory Theatre.

I have also recently re-made my website using the brilliant Cargo Collective.
Take a gander if you fancy HERE.
I am looking forward to working on some new idea's I have for a picture book and enjoying the sun! (Hopefully)
